Utah Online Business News Channel appeals to Meeting and Event Planners with eyes on Utah
Utah's Business to Business market is rapidly expanding and Newsgroup4.com, the first woman-owned online news channel in Utah, is still making headlines.
During 2011, Newsgroup 4.com was featured in Forbes, USA Today, CNN Money Watch and Yahoo News and was a proud guest of the Governor's office when Utah declared it's own "Entrepreneurial Day" last September.
Recently, Newsgroup 4 had more cause to celebrate when Los Angeles Investors saw the growth and potential of online business news; and agreed to provide Newsgroup4.com funding to allow for expansion and development in both the local and national business news markets.
"We had some bumps initially", Gerson said. "Finding a reliable IT company was extremely challenging", she shared. It was then Newsgroup4.com launched an in-house Ad Agency (PRadAgency.com) in search of professional talent for themselves, while helping other businesses continue to grow in Utah, as well as throughout other markets.
"The demand has been so great to help grow Utah by sharing business news profiles, and showcasing business event news" said VP of Business Development, Doug Caudell. "We have had to expand and hire media partners, sales and marketing experts and C-level social media professionals", Caudell added.
While recently attending the Utah Business Expo in Sandy, Gerson was introduced to several business owners, including Mary Scott, President of Goldfish, a leader in inventory management solutions.
"What you are doing in the community is great" Scott Said. "We want to be a part of it" Scott grinned, as they exchanged smiles and stopped for a picture together.
"The Expo was excellent" Gerson said, "and Utah Business is very receptive to women-owned businesses and clearly embraces entrepreneurs from all walks of life".
"One of the most exciting things is the upcoming launch of our Event news division" stated Joseph Ross, VP of Sales and Marketing for Utah Event News.org. "This will be one of many unique offerings included in the expansion of our business news model," Ross added
"The development of Utah Event News began back in 2010, with the initial purchase of the URL Utah Events.org", Newsgroup spokesperson, Mel Jordan said.
Jordan explained, "While the Corporate Meeting and Event site was being designed for construction, in spite of some hiccups, Newsgroup 4 continued to showcase their sample meeting and event calendar while awaiting additional funding."
"The wait is over now," said Jordan, adding "It has become evident that partnering with numerous events like those hosted at Sundance Film Festival, Newsgroup 4 was able to create enough synergy promoting and sharing event news to secure funds."
The event news site will launch while providing unique features that both local and national meeting planners expect.
To drive additional event planner traffic to the Utah Event News site, there are plans to build local and national sites all owned by Newsgroup 4 with links from the UtahEventNews.org hub, including:
