This summer, Salt Lake City-based Kimball Investments plans to break ground for the Marriott Resident Inn, a 135 room hotel, located in Murray, Utah.
The New Marriott Resident Inn will be located at 171 E. 5300 S. The hotel will be six stories tall, and built on approximately 2.5 acres. The new location will also offer both meeting and event space, remarked Kimball Investments spokesperson.
Beecher Walker Architects designed the hotel and a contractor is soon to be selected. Kimball Investments purchased the acreage in 2008, and will be the largest new structure of this size.
Kimball announced ground to be broken for the new Marriott Resident Inn is expected in July of 2012, anticipating the site will take 12 to 15 months to complete.
The new hotel will showcase Marriott Residence Inn's latest "Generation 9" contemporary design which was unveiled in March of 2012, and will showcase the ambiance of a higher-end look and feel.
Currently there are five Marriott Residence Inns in Utah. These spacious suites offer fully equipped kitchens as well as provide free WiFi, in-room high-speed Internet complimentary breakfast, outdoor swimming, barbecues, fitness centers, including complimentary social gatherings.
Kimball Investments entered the Hotel Development market in 1985, and among others also owns the Hampton Inn downtown and a Holiday Inn at 999 S. Main St.
